Politics As Usual
- is it -
? Cooperation or Exploitation?

According to the Second Law of Thermodynamics: a system progresses in the direction of increasing disorder, or entropy, of the system. The status quo is degrading and under stress. A 'New Normal" seems to be forming. Politics As Usual may well become Unusual and even dangerous.

Complexity Theory of how the world works is not understood by those in positions of power. (see here for more)

If political consensus can not be regained conflict may result. Social stresses often lead to increased authoritarian government action. How will the status quo collapse? ... The most competent will realise the impossibility of keeping it glued together and so they will exit first. The most noble will try to keep it going but they will burn out and drop away, leaving the incompetent to oversee the final collapse. (source)

"giants must fall. When the communities of America rebuild, it will be the thousands of small activities that matter" (see here) True or False? "There will be blood, death, and war on an enormous scale before this Crisis is resolved." (more here)

"The more complex society becomes, the greater is the need to rely on voluntarism, private property, and free markets, the only known means of achieving an effective use of knowledge in society." (Click here for more)

The 'Broken Window Theory' tells us ignoring corrupt actions only encourages further corruption. (click here for more) It is utopian nonsense to think that if we change the system we’ll be freed of the problems that come from our own human nature in all of our enterprises under any system. The current cycle's End Stage appears to have arrived. (Click here for more)

If Politics As Usual cycles between voluntary cooperation and coercive exploitation will the trend continue toward an oppressive Great Reset? … or will liberty again become politically relevant once there is little left to plunder?

"I see the liberty of the individual ... as the necessary condition for the flowering of all the other goods that mankind cherishes: moral virtue, civilization, the arts and sciences, economic prosperity. Out of liberty, then, stem the glories of civilized life.” Murray Rothbard
