“Nothing is permanent.” Cogitor saying/Dune
The Social Contract Between Government And People Is Unraveling Unlike the theory of social evolutionism, which views the evolution of society and human history as progressing in some new, unique direction(s), sociological cycle theory argues that events and stages of society and history are generally repeating themselves in cycles. (source) “There is a certain malevolence about the formation of social orders, a profound struggle, with despotism on one end and slavery on the other.” – Tlaloc/Dune It has all happened before. Many times. It is all happening again. "Every three or four generations, humanity consumes itself with the fang and claw of fascism and collectivism. Every three or four generations, we eat our own". "An awakening happens only gradually, but the point arrives when the common man has had about enough...We are now on that cusp." (more here) The current cycle (Strauss & Howe’s First Turning) began with the Bretton Woods conference in July 1944 where the soon-to-be victors of WWII hammered out a new international monetary system. The dollar would be the world’s global reserve currency. "It ought to be obvious that we are well into Strauss & Howe’s Fourth Turning, the generational climax of a grand political cycle tending towards darkness and ruin (and eventually the birth of a new cycle)." (see here & here) "The real threat of the MAGA movement is that it runs antithetical to the dollar system and globalism." (click here for more)
"Trump already represents a revolt in the United States; if he fails, the guy who comes next won’t be so nice. But the backlash is going to start somewhere. What can’t go on won’t go on, and this will not go on." (source)
Does the assassination of JFK ( “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country,” ) mark a change in this cycle? His successor, LBJ, initiated the Great Society programs which flipped that JFK exhortation completely around to: Ask (demand) what your country can do for you - not what you can do for your country. Collective entitlement suddenly replaced individual responsibility as the basis of American culture. Click here for the Cycle. Click here for the Culture Clash. Click here for the Collapse.

"I see the liberty of the individual ... as the necessary condition for the flowering of all the other goods that mankind cherishes: moral virtue, civilization, the arts and sciences, economic prosperity. Out of liberty, then, stem the glories of civilized life.” Murray Rothbard |
