Politics As Usual

Why An Ideal Society Would be Based on Consent.
“It is the responsibility of the patriot to protect his country from its government." (see here) Power is a commodity worth buying. Each year 535 people in Congress decide who gets and who pays $7 Trillion. That is a lot of power. "Power corrupts..." No Matter How You Vote, Politicians Don't Represent You. No matter what politicians do many voters will object. Should values be forced on us and choices restricted by any party? Can’t we try to liberate instead of regulate each other? Wasn’t America supposed to be about voluntary agreement instead of forced obedience? Hasn't cooperation become exploitation? A free society depends on individuals who act and take responsibility. What happened to personal responsibility in America? How can irresponsible people expect to be free? Have "We, the People" become incapable of action?! Laws transfer responsibility from us to a government agent. Re-interpreting the Constituion now verges on farce. Some now call for a federal law to ban ‘gender fluid’ people from using women’s bathrooms.(see here) Should regulating bathroom behavior be a new federal ‘un-enumerated power’ because "states or the people" are incapable or don't want to bother? Act or be acted upon (domestically and globally).

"I see the liberty of the individual ... as the necessary condition for the flowering of all the other goods that mankind cherishes: moral virtue, civilization, the arts and sciences, economic prosperity. Out of liberty, then, stem the glories of civilized life.” Murray Rothbard |
