Politics As Usual
- is it -
? Cooperation or Exploitation?

Economics is about what people want to pay for.

Markets don't fail. They self-correct according to supply and demand preferences of We, the People. A capitalist, or “free market,” system is one in which the prices of goods and services are determined by consumers and the open market, in which the laws and forces of supply and demand are free from any intervention by a government, price-setting monopoly, or other authority. Today, none of the major (larger) countries in what was once referred to as the “free world” bear any resemblance to this definition. (see here for more)

"There are, right now, millions of people around the world coming up with ways to make your life better in order to make their life better. Nobody told them to, no law requires them to, and they don't even know you. All we have to do is let them." Nicholas Sarwark

Politics is about what people want other people to pay for.

"The United States’ $23 trillion debt, the largest debt the world has ever seen, has come about because of American voters’ voracious appetite for transfers combined with politicians’ obvious incentive to provide them." (more here)

Politics is about rigging the system. Politics (government) can't fix 'market failures'. Markets self-correct. But politics can destroy an economy and damage society. Examples are everywhere to be seen. Click here for but one example and here for another .

."First, politicians have generally little understanding of how markets work."

."Secondly, politicians naturally make political calculations. "

."Thirdly, politicians sometimes rely too much on scientists, who generally have no training in social matters at all."

."A fourth reason why politicians have acted so recklessly ... is certainly the political pressure that they are under."

."In a world of scarce resources, how much taxpayer money should the state spend to save one life?"

."The state never misses a chance to increase its power. Crises are considered great political opportunities, and have thus been used countless times in history by rulers."   Source: mesis.org

Government redistributes only what economics produces. It can not demand product that is not supplied. It can not distribute from empty shelves. It can not socialize what is not first created. The Tragedy Of The Commons is the absence of stuff.

Democracies fail. Sometimes they bankrupt themselves. In NYS (and elsewhere) 'Fisacal Control Boards' are appointed to temper democracy and prevent debt default. The Federal Reserve is the country's contol board. Bankers govern government to save We, the People, from bankrupting ourselves because democracy failed. (click here for more)

"I see the liberty of the individual ... as the necessary condition for the flowering of all the other goods that mankind cherishes: moral virtue, civilization, the arts and sciences, economic prosperity. Out of liberty, then, stem the glories of civilized life.” Murray Rothbard
