Half of Americans live in these counties. People in urban areas believe Democrat policies better serves their values ('equality', 'fair' treatment, good public schools, protetive and benevolent government, well regulated people and business).

Oddly enough, data shows the exact opposite. Conditions Democrat voters condemn - inequality, unfair treatment, poverty, crime, poor education - actually describe urban Democrat areas.

Most alarmingly, cities decend into anarchy because democracy has failed.

Liberal cities across America are collapsing into Third World status.

From coast to coast, major U.S. cities are rapidly being transformed into rotting, decaying hellholes, and it is getting worse with each passing year.

Highest murder rates are found in urban areas.

Cities...are fundamentally about the shared 'Commons'. (Click here for more) When laws (instead of voluntary choices) decide how and what to share, that Commons gets exploited and leads to tragedy. A 'free market' of many interests is not allowed. Laws steal choices. They prohibit and limit choices for some people and make you obey someone else’s choices. It’s like being told where to sit on the bus. Laws make you do things you would not want to do if you were free. Was it meant to be this way? What can be more valuable than choice? What do you have when you have no choice? Therein lies the problem.

“Rent seeking” is one of the most important insights in the last fifty years of economics and, unfortunately, one of the most inappropriately labeled. ... The idea is simple but powerful. People are said to seek rents when they try to obtain benefits for themselves through the political arena. It has been said, "Some people vote for a living instead of work for a living."

"From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs" is a seductive slogan. But it's merely a slogan. It does not conform to human behavior. Many people rationalize a Common Good which does not exist. An urban interest is not a common one. Urban people tell themselves they seek equality. Workers may 'strike' for higher wages in the name of 'equality'. But they never strike to lower wages for equality. They decry someone else's higher profits but never their own higher wages. Yet both profits and wages make stuff more expensive for customers.
