Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) have become all the rage. A church is a kind of NGO. It gets revenue from people in its congregation to provide spiritual guidance toward reaching salvation. The Salvation Army is an NGO. It generates revenue from selling products donated by people to customers who buy them. The Red Cross is an NGO. It gets revenue from people who contribute blood or money and provides disaster aid and blood products to people in need.These are all examples of voluntary action (charity) by individual people acting to benefit other people. There is no government involvement and requires no law or tax.

Once government is involved the ‘voluntary’ aspect is replaced by force and removes choice. What do you have when you have no choice? How would you tolerate a government agent collecting your blood, stuff or money without your consent? Is it really non-governmental when taxpayers fund it?
